Spring residence, great room render with stone fireplace and double-height ceiling.
The Brief

A double-height great room, drawn around the existing hearth.

A North Houston home with a tall stone fireplace, dark hardwood floors, and a deep volume that needed grounding. The brief: hold the existing architecture, soften the walls, and compose a single seating arrangement that lets the room read as one quiet scene.

Living Room Specification

Contemporary refinement, in texture and tone.

A curated palette of texture, tone, and form. Bouclé and ribbed wool soften the volume, a single rust note carries the heat of the existing hearth, and a quiet stone, a leather, and a blackened metal accent ground the joinery.
